Following its collaboration with Alexander Wang, the Roman luxury house Bvlgari has tapped a new designer for the next installment of the label’s collaborative Serpenti Through the Eyes Of series. Selecting Yoon Ahn, founder of Japanese label Ambush, Bvlgari partners with the contemporary designer to reimagine the Italian house’s glamorous Serpenti Forever bag.

The Through the Eyes Of series challenges designers to put their personal aesthetic twists on a storied Bvlgari design. For her limited edition capsule, Ahn took inspiration from the brightly-colored Tree Python of Southeast Asia when updating the Serpenti, an influence that was reflected in the vibrant blue, green, purple, and aluminum color palette of the new designs. “For this capsule collection, I wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti,” Ahn said of her inspiration. “Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature but with Bvlgari they also become a symbol of glamour in constant evolution. Natural beauty meets human creation, all guided by contemporary aesthetics.”

Shot by Tyler Mitchell and styled by Carlos Nazario, the accompanying campaign features models Bella Hadid, Ellen Rosa, and Xiao Wen Ju carrying the Ambush x Bvlgari Serpenti Forever bags. Ahn conceptualized three new designs: a shoulder bag in quilted Nappa leather, a versatile belt bag with a detachable shoulder strap, and the layered, heart-shaped Serpenti Minaudiere. Each style of the Ambush x Bvlgari collection is adorned with a symbol of the luxury house, a camouflaged, monochromatic snakehead closure. The collaboration also offers a range of edgy accessories, including heart-shaped coin cases, logo-adorned credit card holders, and a coiled Nappa leather Serpenti bracelet.

The Ambush x Bvlgari collection is now available for pre-order online.
