Supreme‘s latest collaboration involves none other than legendary French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier. The duo is set to launch a capsule collection, combining elements from each of their respective brand aesthetics. Gaultier is known for his somewhat outrageous, avant-garde, and often tongue-in-cheek designs, which aligns perfectly with the looks featured in the brands’ collaborative launch.

On April 1, 2019, Supreme posted a first look on Instagram from the upcoming collection, featuring a model rocking a fur coat printed with a blue-and-red plaid design layered over a matching pair of pants and shirt with pixelated graphics displaying the phrase “Fuck Racism,” along with a belt buckle reading “Gaultier Supreme.”

Gaultier has explained that he has previously included elements of sportswear in many of his early collections, citing the trendy element as one of the primary codes for his brand. He says the visuals from the costumes he designed for Madonna’s 1990 Blond Ambition Tour inspired much of the collection. The singer’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, also stars in the upcoming campaign shot by Collier Schorr.

The Jean Paul Gaultier x Supreme collection is available on April 11, 2019 in Supreme stores and online.
