Loewe and Thélios Launch Futuristic Sunglasses

As a brand whose origins are rooted in leather goods, Loewe knows a thing or two about delivering really, really good accessories. And in the five years as the luxury Spanish house’s creative director, British designer Jonathan Anderson has churned out one buzzy bag after another, with designs seen slung across the shoulder or clutched in the grip of some of today’s most photographed street-style stars (notable shout-outs: the uniquely shaped Puzzle Bag, the timeless Barcelona cross-body, and the whimsical Elephant clutch). And now, the label has partnered with luxe eyewear brand Thélios to beef up another accessories category: sunglasses.

Together, the two (both brands live under the LVMH umbrella) have launched three styles for Fall 2018 that boast superior craftsmanship, experiment with boundary-pushing design, and deal in leather—three areas that not only drive Loewe’s core design ethos, but make up the brand’s very foundation. Made from a mix of leather, metal, and acetate, the sunglasses, with their architecturally bold and graphic shape, feel incredibly futuristic.

There’s the Puzzle Medium, a modern take on classic aviators with gradient lenses and a triangular padded leather center that pays homage to the Puzzle bag’s design elements. The Tyra is a futuristic mask-like style that makes a bold statement with its strong outline and neat openwork lenses. And finally, the Jinkx, a classic rectangular-shaped style that was given the signature Loewe treatment: a beautiful stitched leather front front that comes in three colorways (navy, brown, and black).

The Loewe x Thélios collection (priced between 0 and 0) is available now at Loewe.com.
