Versus Versace has always skewed younger than its mainline counterpart, but this season it’s hoping to show that young people can have pretty powerful voices of their own. The brand has just released its Fall 2017 campaign, titled “Subversus,” which features talented young faces from around the world.
“I really admire the young creatives in the new Versus campaign,” Donatella Versace told WWD. “I call them the Sub-Versus Generation, a community of subcultures taking a stand for their beliefs and for their individuality.”
Among those tapped to front the ads are model Lily McMenamy, rapper Tommy Genesis, actor Judah Lang, model/musician Tina Sawayama, artist/activist Hunter Schafer, singer Cosmo Pyke, model/artist Wilson Oryema, and singer Rejjie Snow.
Where mainline Versace usually goes for glossy and high-end in their campaigns, the new images for Subversus show a faded, harder look for the Versus brand, which really accentuates its edgier appeal. See the video for yourself by clicking above.
