If any city was destined to do vegan well, it was Los Angeles. Beyond the metropolis’s penchant for progressivism and its abundance of amazing, year-round farmers’ markets, it’s also home to countless celebrity denizens willing to share nearly every facet of their enviable lifestyles—trendy diets included.

And while stars like Jessica Chastain, Alicia Silverstone, Woody Harrelson, and Joaquin Phoenix jumped on the vegan train forever ago, it’s part-time plant-based dieters like Gisele Bündchen, Kate Hudson, and yes, Queen Bey, who tend to garner the lion’s share of avocado-related headlines.
