We’re calling it—2016 is the year of Rihanna. Hot on the heels a limited edition collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, a cosmetics deal with LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennesy, her first collection as the creative director of Puma, and her current world tour, Riri has just announced that she’s launching a global scholarship program to help students pay for college tuition.

Set up via her nonprofit organization called the Clara Lionel Foundation (so named after her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite), the program will assist citizens of Ri’s native Barbados who are pursuing further education in the United States, as well as prospective students hailing from Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana, and Jamaica. Scholarship grants will range from ,000 to ,000, and those who apply must have already been accepted into a four-year bachelor’s degree program in America.

There’s no limit on the number of grants Ri will hand out, but hopeful applicants will be asked to submit a personal essay via Clara Lionel Foundation’s website, along with proof of their academic skills, school attendance, community service, and any related work experience. The winning students will be announced in August of this year.
