“Dark under eye circles are inherited, or certain ethnicities are more prone to developing dark under-eye circles. Stress, dehydration, poor nutrition, allergies and sleep deprivation are also factors,” says Dr. David Colbert, M.D. of New York Dermatology Group. “It depends on the cause, but generally speaking, calming agents like chamomile, kojic acid, and symwhite are just a few ingredients to look for.”
