With more than 20 million Euros in pending requests of medical equipment, the increasing demands of hospitals around France and greater Europe are growing more and more each day. In an effort to curb the crisis at hand, give back to national caregivers, and address the urgent needs of hospitals, non-profit organization Protege Ton Soignant (roughly “protect your caregiver”) is bringing together French fashion houses and others in a unique auction kicking off tomorrow.

From emerging designers to heritage maisons, the fashion industry is uniting as a symbol of French culture in support of its roots. With over 80 houses participating–including Chanel, Dior, Céline, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe, Berluti, Sacai, Jil Sander, Dries Van Noten, Schiaparelli, Coperni, and more–each brand will select a piece from one of its runway collections to submit to the benefit auction. In solidarity with Protege Ton Soignant’s mission, the designers must reimagine their selections in the organization’s signature color, electric blue.

Supported by the Haute Couture and Fashion Federation and the French Fashion Institute, profits from these custom one-of-a-kind pieces will be pledged directly towards the benefit of French healthcare frontlines battling the current pandemic.

Protege Ton Soignant’s auction begins online on May 1, 2020 at 12 p.m. and will conclude May 4 at 11:59 p.m. Paris time.
