Li-Ning, a China-based sneaker and sporting goods company, just added an unexpected name to its growing list of high-profile collaborations—Jackie Chan. The ten-piece collection debuted during Li-Ning’s Fall/Winter 2020 show at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, which was closed by none other than the martial arts legend himself. As Li-Ning approaches its 30th anniversary, the capsule buzzed with both respect for the past and a celebration of the future.

Each piece in the collaborative collection is breathable, layer-friendly, and only available in black or white. In an ode to both Li-Ning’s athletic roots and Jackie Chan’s iconic career, the capsule blurs utilitarian athleisure with traditional Kung-Fu motifs. Many looks were completed with the collaborative sneaker, built for leisure with a sock-like upper and thick layered sole. This collaboration comes not long after the Li-Ning x Random Identities Aurora 2020 sneaker announcement, proving that Li-Ning is inching off the courts and into the sartorial space as a serious player.
