Revisiting the Fashion at Woodstock

The year 1969 saw one of the most influential art and music festivals in the world: Woodstock. The “Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music” was held at a 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York, and attracted over 400,000 people. During the famed weekend, 32 acts—including household names such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Grateful Dead, The Who, and Janis Joplin—performed outdoors in both rain and shine. Although music was the main attraction of the iconic festival, performers and attendees alike came dressed in their festival best. Today, on the 51st anniversary of Woodstock, CR looks back at the music festival that altered history.
