Mei Kawajiri, Carine’s go-to nail artist, is an authority on trending nail designs. From manicures pierced with hoop earrings to boob nails, her expert artistry frequently goes viral, earning her a client list stacked with names such as Ariana Grande, the Hadid sisters, and Kim Kardashian West. This summer, she’s extended her creativity to perfectly encapsulating the season’s hottest nail trend: neon. Kawajiri spoke to CR about her take on the fluorescent manicure, sharing that “neon color on the nails makes the overall look edgier, even with clothing that is very simple.”
