As Women’s Month continues, Nike has championed for the rise and empowerment of female athletes by announcing 14 National Team Collections to coincide with this summer’s FIFA World’s World Cup in France. The sneaker giant has also brought along gymnast Simone Biles, fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, and Grand Slam winner Li Na, among others.

“We believe this summer can be another turning point for the growth of women’s football,” Mark Parker, Nike’s president said. “Nike’s commitment is to continue our leading support of competitive athletes, invest in the next generation at the grassroots level and deliver more innovative and compelling product design for women.

The sportswear brand utilized 4-D scanning and motion capture in order to create collections specific to women. Along with the new collection, Nike also showcased their Spring/Summer 2019 high-performance bra collection.

The company also announced a new three year partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), while continuing its partnerships with the WNBA, FIBA, and the Chinese Basketball Association. Nike plans to champion female athletes year-round by launching a new phase of their Just Do It film series, by shifting the focus to women in sports.
