In celebration of Louis Vuitton’s newly appointed menswear creative creative Virgil Abloh, the brand has launched a temporary concept store in New York through January 17th. The limited edition space contains casual ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, accessories, and is housed in Chrome Hearts’ West Village store.
In addition to pieces from the Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the store contains exclusive products from the Off White x Chrome Hearts collaboration. The focal point of the installation is a black bench which took Abloh and Chrome Hearts’ Richard Stark five years to create. “The uniqueness of the piece–at first glance, fragile and ‘snapped in half’ while ultimately being built out of the strongest ebony wood–was brought to life by hand at the Chrome Hearts factory in Los Angeles,” said Chrome Hearts in a statement.
The store comes after Abloh’s debut runway show for the storied Parisian house (attended by Rihanna and Kim Kardashian West in the front row) which featured a plethora of rainbow hued tie-dye looks and neon vests.
The Louis Vuitton concept store is open until January 17th in New York.
