John Galliano is known for his out-of-the-box designs that make you think. He has been pioneering major trends, moments, and memories in fashion his entire career for brands like Givenchy, Dior, and now Maison Margiela. In conjunction with Galliano’s first Artisanal Men’s show in Paris on June 22nd, he is continuing to experiment, this time with different art forms including sculpture and sound.

Galliano partnered with sculptor Tony Matelli to produce a series of pieces to match and enhance his collection of clothes. Margiela has also launched a new fashion podcast series titled, “The Memory of… With John Galliano,” delving into the behind-the-scenes of the brand and the remarkable stories of the creative director who oversees it. The first-of-its-kind fashion podcast series tells stories that only typically fashion insiders know of. Galliano narrates how he envisioned and brought his ideas to life and created his Artisanal Men’s show. Relish as he reflects on his viewpoint of buzz topics in fashion right now, like defining what masculinity and femininity is and his take on the new generation of designers for menswear.

The first podcast is available now on iTunes. The second episode in the series will be available in conjunction with the ‘Artisanal’ Women’s show on July 4th.
