Donatella Versace delivered a colorful collection for Versace Fall/Winter 2018 full of loud and confident prints. Held at the Royal Palace in Milan, it was Italy meets Scotland; tartan ruled the runway. The range also boasted distressed denim, oversized belts with gold rococo buckles, and coats accented with large gold heart-shaped brooches and safety pins. Think schoolhouse rock for royals. Sportswear influences crept in as well in the form of large scarves printed with Varsity letters and party dresses were given a dazzling twist thanks to crystal beaded fringe and tassels. And while there was no sign of a supermodel reunion this season, there was an appearance by Natalia Vodianova (who opened the show) and Anja Rubik much to the audience’s delight.
