One of New York’s most treasured rappers, Nas, is rumored to be collaborating with cult streetwear brand, Supreme. Born and raised in Queens, Nas has been a major figure on the music scene for three decades; he’s released eight consecutive platinum and multi-platinum albums and has sold over 25,000,000 records worldwide.
Supreme superfan, Jay Preme is the source of the rumors. He took to his personal Instagram account over the weekend to tease the partnership with an archival image of the rapper wearing a Supreme tee in 2013. Underneath the photo, he wrote the following caption: “This Fall/Winter Supreme is set to immortalize Nas by gracing him as the Face of the next Photo Tee. Originally Teased in 2013 but never dropped, the time is finally coming.”
Preme went on to state that the official campaign will feature Nas in a Supreme black beanie, olive jacket, and a new classic white tee with the words “Nasty Nas” written on it. According to his post, the tee will be available in eight separate colorways and is slated to drop as part of the brand’s Fall 2017 collection.
If Preme’s statement is true, Nas will become the sixth rapper group to collaborate with Supreme. He’ll join previous big names like Raekwon, Dipset, Prodigy, Three 6 Mafia, and Gucci Mane. The evidence seems pretty solid, yet neither Supreme nor Nas have officially confirmed that this is actually happening.
