Beyoncé is Confirmed as Coachella’s 2018 Headliner

To the disappointment of thousands of fans this year’s Coachella headliner, Beyoncé, had to pull out of fronting the show. She found out that she was pregnant with twins, and doctors told her that she would be too far along to perform. In February her reps released a statement explaining that she had received “advice of doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.” She would’ve been the first female to headline the festivities since Bjork in 2007.

Cancelling the performance hasn’t stopped her from remaining in the spotlight, creating one of pop culture’s most iconic images with her pregnancy photo shoot. Safe to say that when her twins are finally born, the Internet will break. Her moment will continue into 2018, when she will take the helm of Coachella at last, as the festival’s headliner. The rest of the lineup has yet to be revealed.

Advance sale tickets for Coachella 2018 will be available June, 2 at 11 a.m. P.S.T. on the festival’s website.
