“I really relish in the getting ready process,” Aurora James tells CR. “For me it’s a form of self-care meets festive anticipation meets indulgent femininity,” Last night the designer joined a swarm of other creatives from fashion, art, music, and entertainment at New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim to kick off the museum’s annual gala event. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed institution, Dior invited French singer Christine and the Queens to perform inside the museum’s iconic rotunda while an astrological light show decorated the space. “The Dior Guggenheim event is always the perfect visual feast to get excited about,” says James, who wore Dior Beauty makeup for the evening. “Wandering the Guggenheim at night in the most beautiful clothes in the galaxy is straight out of a dream world, especially when the soundtrack is Christine.” See how the designer prepared for the party below.
