Lakeith Stanfield, our generation’s next big movie star, is causing a commotion. The actor—famous for his roles in Get Out, Atlanta, and Sorry to Bother You—fronts the cover of a whole new CR Men in advance of his biggest project yet, The Girl in the Spider’s Web. Photographed by Roe Ethridge and styled by Haley Wollens, Stanfield leads a creatively reimagined edition of the magazine—complete with a brand new editorial vision and logo—that looks at entertainment in its various forms today.

Inside, director Penelope Spheeris looks back at making studio films as a woman in the ’90s, while 13 Reasons Why star Miles Heizer plays Urban Cowboy for Stig De Block and Ron Hartleben. Robbie Augspurger and Julia Ehrlich compose sittings with cinema and television’s most exciting scene stealers—from James Van Der Beek to Jimmi Simpson and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman—and Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino meets with Delfina Delettrez-Fendi and artist Nico Vascellari in Rome to discuss witchcraft, Suspiria, and making his mark on a classic.

Explains creative and editorial director Patrik Sandberg: “Only now, with multitudes of news organizations competing for political influence, are our very realities and notions of truth subject to our self-indulgent prepossessions. We’re truly living in the new Wild West.”

CR Men Issue 7 is available alongside CR Fashion Book Issue 13, and will be on newsstands starting September 13, 2018. To pre-order an advance copy click here, and sign up for our newsletter for exclusive stories from the new issue.
