The fashion and entertainment industries in the early aughts would not have been the same without Devon Aoki. Kate Moss discovered the half-Japanese, all-American talent, who ended up on runways for Chanel and every emerging New York designer at the turn of the millennium, then acted in films including 2 Fast 2 Furious and DOA: Dead or Alive. While Aoki has lately been living a quieter life as she focuses on raising a family, she has remained in elite circles through hanging out with DJ brother Steve, appearing in music videos for Fergie and the Killers, and walking recent shows for Jeremy Scott and Moschino. In honor of the cult icon’s birthday, CR remembers her days spent on the fashion circuit.
