Across the country, a call-to-action has been heard, especially by women. Planned Parenthood’s planned defunding by the Republican party has recently received a lot of media attention, along with women’s marches, protests and an influx of donations and support. Each year, about 2.5 million people, women and men, visit Planned Parenthood clinics across the country. They come for breast examinations and cervical cancer screenings, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases and infections, contraception and family planning.

This weekend on Sunday, April 2nd, some of New York’s finest bakeries are coming together for a bake sale to support this essential healthcare provider. We suggest skipping your Sunday morning boxing class and showing some sweet support. Head to Café Altro Paradiso on Spring Street from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm to munch on divine patisseries from top eateries such as Milk Bar, Le Coucou, Le Bernardin, The Smile and Gramercy Tavern who will be providing baked goods for supporters. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
