Devon Lee Carlson’s Capsule with Marc Jacobs is Here

Digital it-girl and Marc Jacobs muse collabed with the designer for a Y2K-inspired capsule collection that might just break the internet. Dropping on Carlson’s 26th birthday, the giddy leo took to her stories, fresh out of bed, to model the new pieces for her 1.3 million Instagram followers and Wildflower girl-cult. “I put my dog on a hoodie, what happens when u give me too much creative control,” she wrote, “muahaha.”

The capsule collab features eight items from one of Heaven’s (@heavn) angels, including the Devon Charm Purse in pink and black, slip dress, oversized tee, sweatsuit, baby tee, and shrunken shorts.

The soft leather shoulder purse is inspired by an archive Marc Jacobs bag and features a Marc Jacobs initial charm chain that doubles as a necklace. It’s a perfect manifestation of Carlson’s love for vintage early-2000s designer accessories, with Jacob’s playful touch.

The mini slip is trimmed with baby blue lace, the neckline decorated with “MJ” charms and sweet bows. It’s little black dress meets early aughts romcom meets princess complex — so fetch.

Carlson’s beloved dog Martin, the real star of her YouTube channel, also appears in the Y2K ad-style campaign shot by Conor Cunningham and styled by Chloe and Chanelle Delgadillo.

“Marc is a true fashion icon and inspiration to me,” she said. “All of the pieces in this collaboration were designed to be worn in any setting, at home with slippers or out on the town with your most fun heels. Getting to design this collaboration has been such an honor and a dream that I’m just waiting to wake up from!”

The graphics on the baby tee and shrunken shorts are done by Elliot Shields, who also designs for Jacob’s alt-playground line Heaven. The shorts have the designer’s name in a flowery Polly Pocket font across the butt.

The graphic sweatsuit is the ideal ‘fit for dodging the paparazzi on the way to pick up a green juice. The set includes a cropped zip hoodie and drawstring pants, stamped by Elliot with a diamonte star, Marc Jacobs logo, and portrait of king Martin.

Obviously, her “digital world” of fashionistas are promptly logging on to purchase.
