CR star Lily-Rose Depp shows a rare side of vulnerability in a stunning new series of images lensed by Luke Gilford. Inspired by her mother, Vanessa Paradis, the photos, which view the young actress in three separate scenes, explore intimacy as a concept. “It takes a real connection to exist, and real connections take work, patience, and love,” explains Gilford. “The images of her in bed and crying especially move me because they are so honest.” Taken over the course of a few days without any production crew or interruptions, the collaboration reflects on the pair’s own relationship, having been close friends for the past two years. Says the photographer: “This experience was so inspiring because it reminded me how rewarding it is to collaborate with friends, and how meaningful it is to create authentic trust and intimacy.”
